Workforce

Goals:

  • Bring health sector employers together with educators and workers to meet growing workforce needs

Achievements:

  • Diversity Train-the-Trainer in partnership with Kaiser Permanente
  • 20 Diversity trainers available and active with KP materials
  • Annual Job Fair in partnership with the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce
  • Partnered with Metro Denver Health Sector Partnership, Colorado Community College System and specifically Front Range Community College to modify Medical Assistant curriculum in a way that reduced tuition and time burdens to students and increased job readiness
  • Collaborated with Poudre School District, Greeley-Evans School District 6, Thompson Valley School District as well as UCHealth and Banner Health to create a “Get Into the Guts of Health Care Careers” program for high school students

LPN Apprentices Explore opportunities with Greater Metro Denver Health Partnership
Job Fair Summit Enhance job fair attendance for summit through marketing efforts
Apprenticeship Flyer Market current apprenticeships by creating a data base or list using partnership webpage.
Career Day To finalize the details of the Middle School Career day with Poudre and then duplicate the event in the future for other schools.
Simulation Gather inventory of simulation equipment to partner/share resources. S.U.N.?
